Milton Public Schools

Please see the message below from Milton Public Schools’ Food Service Director Natalia Perez:

Effective Saturday, November 1, families and students will not receive their SNAP benefits due to the ongoing federal government shutdown. These benefits will remain paused until the shutdown concludes. Currently, 615 Milton students receive SNAP benefits and may be directly impacted.

We can support these families by ensuring that our school community is aware that a nutritious breakfast and lunch is available free to all students every school day. The daily menu offerings can be found on our Food Service Department website here:

https://www.schoolnutritionandfitness.com/index.php?sid=1466119320502&page=menus.  These meals will continue to be provided without interruption.

Additionally, families can find further food assistance through Project Bread’s Food Source Hotlinehttps://projectbread.org/foodsource-hotline. Counselors are available in 180 languages to connect families with resources such as the WIC Program and local food pantries.

Thank you for helping us ensure every student has access to nutritious meals and the support they need during this time.  Please feel free to reach out if you need further assistance: Natalia Perez, Food Service Director, nperez@miltonps.org
